Welcome to my website. I am the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate for Oxford East.

I have lived and worked in Oxford for over twenty years and I have a record of standing up for local people on a variety of issues. From safeguarding our NHS services to protesting against tuition fees, from marching to draw attention to climate change to fighting for housing for local families.

It really is an exciting time to be living in Oxford. In the 2005 General Election I came second to Labour by less than a thousand votes. The Conservatives trailed in a distant third place and haven't won a council seat in Oxford since 2000, whilst the Green Party lost their deposit. We now have the opportunity to bring real change to Oxford East, but the only way to beat Labour in our area is by voting for the Liberal Democrats!

Oxford East Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate, Dr Steve Goddard, today called for wholesale reform of our political system. Steve said "The unsurprising statement from top Conservative donor Lord Ashcroft that he does not pay full taxes in Britain shows something rotten at the heart of our politics. Lord Ashcroft has been ploughing money into constituencies around the country to effectively buy the election, yet he can't even be bothered to pay his contribution to the country. There is something deeply wrong with this."
